Introduction 

These positions are based on a Limited Duration Contract, at a site in Tweefontein, Mpumalanga.

Description

The purpose of this position encompasses the fitting on mechanical machinery, pipework, alignment, balancing, keyways, gears, hydraulics and pneumatics in accordance to relevant specifications

 Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering / Trade Test (Electrician)
Experience and Skills Requirements
  • Must have 3 years’ experience as an Electrician
  • Must have knowledge of Optimization (simulations) and have thorough knowledge of equipment protection parameters

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements, standards and specifications
  • To know the system and being able to distinguish between C&I fault or Electrical Fault
  • To be a team player and supportive in sharing the maintenance common goals of achieving plant optimization availability.
  • Conduct inspections on switch gear rooms.
  • To be able to do diagnosis on plant process failure and correct failures at possible shortest time.
  • Carry out plant inspections as per maintenance schedule and comply on weekly basis.
  • Conduct periodic plant walk downs and be able to predict equipment possible failure before failure registration.
  • Stroke and do stroke checks on valves to specifications and requirements.
  • To attend to breakdowns on all plant equipment that failed and be able to do diagnosis to find the cause of failure.
  • To repair or replace components
  • Ensure adherence to engineering quality standards in maintenance of equipment and machinery
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Client Health and Safety procedures and requirements
  • Identify hazards and risks while performing daily tasks and employ adequate control measures to ensure all work is performed safely. All work performed needs to have an associated continuous risk assessments
